About Emma's Harbor
Emma's Harbor was founded by Haleigh Randazzo, who is the sole provider in the practice. She named the practice after her daughter, Emma, who helped her see the beauty in the world. This practice is founded on the belief that each person has the potential to reach their goals and make the world a better place. Haleigh's personal and professional goal is to put a little more kindness in the world than there was to begin with.
Counseling at Emma's Harbor
Counseling Philosophy
Emma's Harbor sees each client as an individual with their own history, challenges, and strengths. No two humans are the same, and therefore, each person has a different need when they enter counseling. Different treatment modalities are utilized depending on the specific needs of each client.
Treatment Modalities
The major treatment modalities used at Emma's Harbor include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), existential therapy, and somatic therapy. Jungian techniques are also utilized, along with skills from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
Creative/Expressive Arts Emphasis
Emma's Harbor places a special emphasis on integrating the body and mind through the use of creative arts. Different expressive arts mediums used at Emma's Harbor include painting, dancing, drawing, and play. Creative arts therapies also allow individuals to communicate without using as many words, which can be helpful for young children or those that are not comfortable verbally expressing their emotions. These techniques are engaging and provoke emotions and thoughts that are ripe for exploration and self-discovery.
Haleigh is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is in the process of becoming a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT), giving her specialized training in integrating the body and mind.
